First introduced in 1978, the "Echo Racing" shoe was originally designed for use in the popular sport of track cycling in Japan. The Keirin™ 400 derives its name for the Japanese term for bicycle racing and draws inspiration from the classic cycling shoes of the 70's and 80's.
